One Feature Per Day.

βœ… Deliver one feature per day.

The idea is pretty simple:

πŸ‘‰ Deliver one feature per day.

Now, let me step back and explain that.

I am a business consultant, software architect, and technologist. I lead teams that deliver complex projects while contending with competing personalities, priorities, and PTO.

For my own sanity, I started to build my own features. Those I could deliver--and start using--quickly. Doing this, I came up with:

One Feature Per Day "Manifesto"

  • 1οΈβƒ£πŸ“† Deliver one feature per day. (learn more!)
  • πŸ§©πŸ‘ Solve my own problems. (learn more!)
  • πŸ”§βœˆοΈBuild the plane (& plan) as I fly it. (learn more!)
  • β–ΆπŸ“– Action > Documentation.
  • πŸ–ŠοΈπŸ’» Whiteboard > Code.
  • πŸ”„πŸ“š Use version control.
  • βš’οΈπŸƒ Hack. Use it.

In this way, I started shipping useful, bite-sized features. And since this emphasizes the importance of using stuff, not just building stuff, I built less useless stuff.

This is not for everyone. It is for builders.

Read the manifesto, or, better yet, the principles.
